2014年6月起，世界动物保护协会的英文名称与logo正式从“WSPA: World Society for the Protection of Animals”变更为“World Animal Protection”。据该协会称，虽然我们变更了名称，但是我们保护动物的目标和决心从未改变。World Animal Protection的新名称与新logo清晰直观地表明了World Animal Protection的工作和立场，能够让更多的人了解World Animal Protection的目标和愿景。同时，World Animal Protection的新名称将鼓励更多的人支持World Animal Protection改善动物的生存现状，终止动物虐待。
